Youth Ministry

We have an active Youth Ministry at St. Matthew’s, serving students in 6th-12th grades and their families with both weekly meetings Sundays at 5:00 p.m. in the Youth Room and Sunday school opportunities after church. 

Our youth participate in mission trips and community outreach events both locally and regionally. 

Highlights of the year include Big House for middle school kids (serving in a community for a week painting and making light repairs for those who need assistance).

U.M. ARMY for high schoolers (spending a week painting, building wheelchair ramps, and doing more extensive work for those who need assistance.

District Camp at Lakeview, a Methodist camp near Palestine, Texas for both groups. 

In mission opportunities and weekly interactions, our hope is to provide relevant and challenging ways to allow our students to grow in their relationship with Christ and thus bring Christ’s light to the world. 

Our students learn, grow, and share their life together under the direction of well-trained leaders and our most important partners in ministry, their parents.
